iOS 18 is the upcoming eighteenth major release of Apple's iOS operating system for the iPhone. It was revealed at the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), following the tradition of iOS reveals. It is the direct successor to iOS 17. It was announced alongside watchOS 11, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. As with every release since iOS 4, updates are available at no additional cost to users.
Being the successor to iOS 17, iOS 18 saw a developer beta released shortly after WWDC. Public betas will occur in July, and the operating system will be publicly released in September 2024.
